Porto di Livorno 2000 was founded in 1996 and appointed by the Port Authority as responsible for the general-interest service of passenger assistance, coordinating Livorno's passenger port.

In 2019, following the tender for the award of the majority stake, 66% of the share capital was acquired from the company Livorno Terminals S.r.l.

Porto di Livorno 2000 S.r.l. operates:

  • 3 terminals: the Cruise Terminal, the Alto Fondale Cruise Terminal and the Ferry Station;
  • An intercontainer car park dedicated to semi-trailers disembarking from ferries and to new cars;
  • Porto Livorno Stazione Marittima Car Park – Auto P1;
  • Porto Livorno Stazione Marittima Car Park – Camper P2;
  • 11 berths located across the entire port area of Livorno, providing high-quality services to passengers and ships calling at Livorno.

Thanks to the numerous initiatives undertaken by Porto di Livorno 2000, the Port of Livorno is today a leading player on the national and international passenger scene, both as a Home Port and as a port of call for the world's leading shipping companies.
This has also been made possible by the investments Porto di Livorno 2000 has dedicated to developing its "Safety & Security" division, which operates efficiently throughout the Port of Livorno.
