SAFETY & SECURITY

The Cruise Terminal is equipped with a security plan as required by the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.

In compliance with the sector regulations, Porto di Livorno 2000 guarantees a Safety & Security service through the most sophisticated and effective technological instruments.

It employs a qualified staff of about 30 people in high season, which deals with:

• carry out checks at the entrance to the port to ensure access to those authorized;
• create a restricted area on the quay for cruise ship passengers;
• make the quay accessible and safe for passengers embarking and disembarking, facilitating their transit through the port;
• check, with special machinery, the luggage of departing passengers;
